Know Jesus Fully: Steps to Live Broadcasting- Encoder Testing
| Now that the hardware and software are set up, we'll need to test the output. We'll be checking both the live feed and the archived file. Let's see how we've done.... (Be sure your camera is turned on!) |
Step 1- After having clicked "Apply" in the previous step and having entered the username and password in the "Broadcast Password" screen, you should see the green arrow by the words "Start Encoding". If it is still greyed out, just wait a few moments. If you get an error code that says the server is not available, disable your virus/firewall program. These 2 items can effectively block the communications between the encoder and the server. Make note of the file location on the "Archive to file" line.

 |
| Step 2- Double check the inputs on the "Session Properties" screen ("Alt+Enter", "Sources") Be sure they are the same as we set up earlier. Providing your camera is on and all is well, click "Start Encoding". After a slight delay, you should see the video on-scren. Click the "Display" drop-down list and choose "Both". You will see an input and output screen of the same video your camera is producing. The "Sources" panel should show up. Be sure the video input (Live Video) is highlighted. |
