Know Jesus Fully: Steps to Live Broadcasting- 2

Staffing is an issue if you don't want to be tied down to this every Sabbath!  I have found that the young people in the church are your best asset for "trainable" manpower.  Be patient and they will not let you down.    Look for ways to keep the interest up.  Pizza planning parties, swimming, adoration and praise all go hand-in-hand to encourage participation and encourage "ownership" in the ministry.  As far as older staff are concerned, try and find those that can help with writing articles, taking pictures, fundraising, just to name a few.  I would recommend finding someone to help with your website work and video editing.  Depending on your master plan, this could become a necessity.  Above all else, study and pray!  God will bless your efforts if this is His will.
Develop and use job descriptions.  These will explain what needs doing and what the expectations are.
Setting Up- One of our stated objectives are to encourge people in our viewing audience to physically worship in our church.  I would encourage you to adopt the same objective in your planning. As such, secure a location that you can best do your work without disruption to the church service.  A reverent, worshipful atmosphere is important. Stay as low key as you can.  If you operate more than 1 camera, you will need communications and the talking can be disruptive.  Try and locate your camera(s) in spots that give the best angle to the viewer, but not too obtrusive in the sanctuary.  Keep your cabling and equipment neat and tidy.

Education-  When I was first asked to get involved with this ministry, I knew very little about streaming media.  It was a little intimidating at first, but as I read, I found this technology to be rather simple.  Take the time to look on the internet and learn.  As the leader of this ministry, you will need to have the answers to everyone's questions.  Below, I have listed some good resource sites.
     Streaming Media-  Basic FAQ's answered
Ezine-  Lots of articles on just about everything from interviewing to video editing to streaming.
RichWeb- Website, search engine info, streaming, more!
Streaming Media World-  Covers streaming media with lots of depth.
The above sites offer lots of information.  A lot of it is not applicable, but wade through them for pertinent information.
