"Sabbath, June 24, 2006, was a joyous occasion for friends and family of the Pence family. Watch the baptism here.
"Iaccepted
Christ in baptism through the Seventh-day Adventist
Church because I believe this church to be
the true church of Jesus Christ our Savior.
I believe that by following the teachings of
Jesus Christ I can achieve eternal life. I
can think of no greater blessing than to awake
in the resurrection in the presence of God
and be reunited with my dear wife. My recent
illness made me think seriously about my relationship
with God, and visits to me while in the hospital
by Pastor Pete inspired me to accept Christ
and to be baptized."
-- Kenneth F. Bray"Igot
baptized because I want to have a good relationship
with God and grow nearer to Him. I started
learning and being more interested in studying
the Bible and I thought He was trying to use
me on His side. I love God and I never want
to part from Him."
-- Anthony Uhl, 13, baptized

"When
I was a teenager I went to every church in
my town and I finally settled on the Seventh-day
Adventist Church because they speak the truth,
they really use the Bible as the basis of
their religion and they're sweet and kind
and it's the same here in the Santa Barbara
Church and has been for many years for me."
-- Martha Adams
"I'm
a member of the Adventist Church because
I believe that the Bible is the word of God,
and this church doesn't just believe in the
word of God, but practices all the scriptural
truths the Lord has spoken."
-- Carlye Hummel
"Ienjoy
belonging to the Seventh-day Adventist Church
in Santa Barbara, California because of the
multinational group of people that are here
and we all love each other and the diversity
helps us to know what it's going to be like
in heaven. I also like it here because
we hear the word of God and internalize it
in terms of how we should be better Christians
in sharing this wonderful message not only
with our members here but with other people
around the world. God bless you all."
-- Anita Mackey
"Since
I've been with the Seventh-day Adventist Church,
I have experienced a peace that I've never
experienced before."
-- C. D. Coffey
"I find
this church a joy to go to, the sermons are
inspirational, and lead me into studying
the Bible more thoroughly. It's an absolute
joy to be here. I feel the Holy Spirit here
where I've never felt the Holy Spirit so
strong as in this church. The people are
charming and kind and patient with you and
you learn a lot in the Sabbath School in
the study of the Bible, and this is what
I have been wanting for a very, very long
time."
